Every year, The Last Minute Orchestra (LMO) gathers musicians for a one-day whirlwind of rehearsal and performance: presenting symphonic works from prepared and performed within 24 hours.
The Last Minute Orchestra (LMO) is a venture orchestra that brings together musicians of all backgrounds for an annual musical sprint: one program, one day, one performance. The centrepiece on our calendar is a once-a-year music camp where participants get to vote on the repertoire, then come together to rehearse and perform a full symphonic programme, all in just 24 hours. Emerging young artists and serious hobbyists also get to audition for a chance to play a concerto in the same concert.More than just a volunteer-run initiative, LMO is about building a vibrant and inclusive musical community. Whether you're returning to your instrument after years away, playing in an orchestra for the first time, or preparing for a solo debut, there's a place for you here.
